Indian National Animal

National animal of India is Tiger, officially known as Panthera Tigris. It has a thick bright yellow colored fur coat with dark stripes on its skin. Tiger is a symbol of power, strength and grace. Unfortunately the beautiful animal is now a days killed for its popular and beautiful skin. To protect this National animal and to balance its population, the Indian government launched "Project Tiger" in 1973 which is also supported by the World Wildlife Federation.
